On September 29, 2015, the World Label Awards “Best of the Best” Ceremony was held at the Brussels Expo in Belgium. From the 22 category winners of the 2014 World Label Awards, only five entries worldwide were selected for this highest-level distinction across major printing processes.
Wenzhou Haoge Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Co., Ltd. received the Combined Printing Category Award for its Gujing Longshan (Guyuelongshan) anti-counterfeiting wine label. Haoge was one of only two Chinese companies to receive an award at this level, alongside Shanghai Security Printing Co., Ltd.
The World Label Awards are widely regarded as the “Academy Awards” of the global label industry, covering flexographic, letterpress, offset, combined printing, digital, gravure, screen printing, booklet labels, and innovation—representing the full spectrum of label production technologies worldwide.
Industry Context and Significance
The “Best of the Best” selection is considered the most competitive tier of the World Label Awards. Rather than open submission, entries are shortlisted exclusively from previous category winners, making the evaluation a direct comparison among the world’s top-performing label projects.
Judging was conducted by an international panel of industry experts from leading global associations, including representatives from TLMI (USA), FINAT (Europe), LATMA (UK), SALMA (Australia), JFLP (Japan), and the China Printing Technology Association.

The awarded wine label showcased Haoge’s ability to integrate complex, multi-process printing with advanced security features, including:

While Chinese entries were fewer than those from Japan, the United States, and Europe, the evaluation recognized that China’s printing technology had reached international standards—placing increasing emphasis on process consistency, fine detail control, and repeatability. For Haoge, this award marked an early and significant validation of its technical depth, multi-process integration capability, and long-term commitment to security printing at a global level.
